Fire Side-chat: Week Off

What's up everyone, we're taking a week off, but don't worry we've got another great episode of AHC Podcast coming to you next week.

Duane "Dog" Chapman (Dog the Bounty Hunter)

Duane “Dog” Chapman put himself on the map almost 20 years ago, by capturing a fugitive the US government couldn’t get their hands on.  Since then, he and his family have been on our television sets hunting down wanted bail jumpers all the way from Colorado to Hawaii.  What got the Dog into bounty hunting?  Where did he get that nickname?  Why would he choose to wear his hair like that?  We’ll dive into these questions and many more in a hilarious episode of AHC Podcast.

Christopher Columbus

While he did sail the ocean blue in 1492, it's come to light that Christopher Columbus may not have been the person we all learned about in school.  He did trek across the Atlantic with the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria but where he landed and what he did once he got there raises a lot of questions.  In the latest episode of AHC Podcast, we take a deep dive into the actions of the explorer and see how your 4th grade teacher may have been lying to you the whole time.

Fire Side-chat: (#12) 90's Movies

When going to the theater, people may not always agree on what movie to watch.  Some movies, however, come with so much hype that lines will wrap around the theater.  Whether those movies live up to the hype, well that's up to you.  The movies in the 1990's had a few of these hits as well as some that flopped in the theater and developed a cult following after.  We'll roll through a list of our favorite classics and debate what's good and what sucks.  Kick back, relax and enjoy our latest Fire Side-chat.

Jim Jones (Don't Drink the Kool-Aid Guy)

Historically, cult leaders haven't fared too well in the eyes of well, pretty much everyone.  This show's subject, Jim Jones, may top the list of cult leaders that made a name for themselves for all the wrong reasons.  The infamous Jonestown massacre was one of the worst human tragedies in United States history.  What drove Jones to control those around him?  How was he able to get his foot in the door and begin the brainwashing of thousands of people?  What's up with those dark sunglasses?  We'll dive into these questions and more in this cult-classic episode of AHC Podcast.

Fire Side-chat: (#11) 90's Video Games

In this Fire Side-chat, we're going to keep our conversation going about the great things we grew up with in the 1990's.  Video games were, and still are, great entertainment for hours, but the advancements we saw in the 90's laid the framework for many of the games today.  Who remembers spending hours and hours playing playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater?  How awesome was the raccoon suit in Super Mario 3?  We'll continue our jog down memory lane in this latest Fire Side-chat.

Axl Rose

Guns n’ Roses was one of the biggest bands in the world in the late 1980’s into the 90’s, and their front man, Axl Rose, was the perfect man for the job. Axl’s high-octane voice and the band’s explosive sound, sold a ton of records and their insane rock star lives made headlines everywhere. COVID Update (Week Off)

Hey everybody, we here at AHC Podcast hope you are doing well and staying safe.  Much like most of the country, we’re taking the week off to do our best to be socially responsible.  But don’t worry, we do have a badass show lined up for you next week. We’ll examine the life and times of legendary rocker and legendary asshole, Axl Rose.  Make sure you tune in, it’s going to be a good one. With no new show this week, take a look at some of our other shows you may not have had a chance to listen to yet.  Hopefully, you can catch a few laughs in this time of weirdness and uncertainty.
